This blog is about a school district that are using I pads for their kindergarten classrooms. It discusses the use of this and other technologies help build children's different learning skills. Also, it talks about different types of apps that could be used for building children's skills such as JumpStart, ScootPad and iDiary. It also informs us that parents and teachers should still monitor the use of the technology to see if the app that they are using is appropriate and on their level. If the children get frustrated while trying to learn something then they will get frustrated and quit. Also, it discusses that while it is good for children to be learning new things that there still needs to be a look out for cyber-bullying.
Personally I think it is great for kindergartners to be using Ipads and other technologies. This is the era of technology and the early we can get it into our children's hands the better. Of course it should also be monitored by not letting children spend all night and day with technology but the more they are around it the better they will be able to understand its use. Also I think it is great for schools to be doing this because it saves space and money. With having the ability to put whole text books on devices saves schools an immense amount of space, money and even time.
